Scouting the Mavericks: In beating Michigan Tech twice last weekend in Houghton, Mich., UNO picked up its first series sweep of an opponent since October of 2011…This weekend serves as part of UNO’s homecoming festivities…Junior forward Zahn Raubenheimer scored four goals against Tech last weekend, with two coming in each game. He was UNO’s entire offense on Friday, scoring both of the Mavericks’ goals, including a shorthanded game-winner with 1:10 left…Junior forward Matt White returns after having stayed home last weekend due to academic issues…Form (Last five results): L-T-L-W-W.

Scouting the Bulldogs: UMD head coach Scott Sandelin served as an assistant under UNO head coach Dean Blais at North Dakota. Sandelin graduated from UND in 1986…The Bulldogs are ranked No. 20 in this week’s USCHO.com poll…UMD holds a 6-3-0 lead in the all-time series against UNO. Saturday night will be only the teams’ 10th-ever meeting, and UMD is 3-2-0 over the Mavericks lifetime in Omaha between games at the Omaha Civic Auditorium and CenturyLink Center…Freshman goaltender Matt McNeely is ninth in the nation – and first among all rookie netminders – in goals against average (1.64). He also posses a .935 save percentage, bested currently by only two other NCAA freshmen…UMD is unbeaten in 16 of its last 20 road games (11-5-4) over the past two seasons…Form: L-W-L-L-T.
