GAME NOTES:
UNO attracted by far one of its largest crowds for a home game this season, but it could be argued that it was the Minnesota fans in attendance that made the most noise. An estimated 1,000 Gopher fans were at Saturday’s game, and smallish but loud pockets of them were scattered throughout the arena…Minnesota’s 3-2 win on Saturday came on head coach Don Lucia’s 1,000th appearance as a college hockey head coach. Lucia now boasts a 167-68-18 all-time record, with stints at Alaska Fairbanks, Colorado College and Minnesota…UNO defenseman Bryce Aneloski’s ten-game point streak came to an end on Saturday. The last Maverick player to go on such a tear was forward Tomas Klempa during the 2008-09 season.
